Dallas United Crew (DUC) welcomed alumni back to the boats for its third annual Alumni Row at White Rock Lake. The event rekindled memories of racing boats and winning medals throughout their high school rowing careers. While some may have not been in a boat since they moved on from DUC, many have continued their rowing careers at top colleges and universities across the country. More than half of DUC’s Class of 2019 were recruited for collegiate rowing, and 49 alums have been recruited since 2013. When you row with DUC, it is about more than competing. You become part of a family and have a bond that will forever last. While the line-ups were different, the magic of stepping into a boat with former team members was still strong. DUC is hosting a free Community Row for ages 12 and up on Saturday, Dec. 14, 9-10:30 a.m. To learn more about DUC’s programs and to register for the free event, visit dallasunitedcrew.org.
