Chef Tate joins forces with Lake House

John Schmitz announced a significant change at his restaurant, Lake House Bar & Grill this week. Ian Tate (pictured) has been named executive chef and restaurant partner. “We’re excited to be shaking things up at the Lake House with Chef Tate’s food additions and a new beverage menu to keep everyone coming back for more,” Schmitz said. Tate brings experience from his time as executive chef at Nova, Salum and Komali in Dallas.

“I’m very fortunate to be handed an opportunity like this in my own backyard, a neighborhood I’ve lived in the past nine years,” Tate said. “I’m not here to reinvent the whole restaurant, just looking to bring my own ideas of gastropub food and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re having a date night or looking for a place to bring the family, you’ll find what you’re looking for at the Lake House.” Lake House is open seven days a week for those looking for an array of specials, excellent service and the perfect happy hour.
