Chefs hope to raise addiction awareness

On Sunday, Oct. 13 a team of top chefs will come together to battle addiction at the 6th Annual Dallas All Star Chef Classic benefitting Dallas 24 Hour Club. The event, which will take place at Sixty Five Hundred, will feature cuisine prepared by 25 top chefs as well as live music by the Georgia Bridgwater Orchestra and live and silent auctions. Acclaimed Chef Matthew McCallister (pictured above), of the newly opened Homewood, will serve as Host Chef, and will be joined by a host of extraordinary participating chefs. The Dallas All Star Chef Classic was born with the mission to help with fundraising efforts and to further addiction awareness within the restaurant community. The event supports Dallas 24 Hour Club and its mission to provide safe, sober transitional living for homeless men and women seeking a brand-new life away from drugs and alcohol. Tickets are $100 per person. More information is at dallas24hourclub.org/chef. — Shelby Menczer
