Celebrating the Year of the Rat, the Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas will present the 21st annual Chinese New Year Festival on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at NorthPark Center. This marks the third year that the popular event will be held indoors (and protected from winter weather) where it continues to thrive and attract record-breaking crowds. Fun for all ages, the signature event will feature stunning dragon and lion dances, musical and martial arts demos, art making and calligraphy, specialty booths, wellness activities, colorful entertainment and cultural performances, NorthPark retailer specials and giveaways throughout the Center, and more. Throughout the month of February, NorthPark Center will also present special exhibitions and Chinese-inspired landscaping and visual displays. Visit northparkcenter.com or crowmuseum.org for the most up-to-date schedule of events and performances. The events are free and open to the public. — Becky Mayad
