Give the gift of laughter to your special someone this year! Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Backdoor Comedy Club located at 940 E. Belt Line Rd. in Richardson, inside The Line Public House. And if you don’t have a date that evening, don’t cry about it; laugh it off at Dallas’ longest running stand-up comedy club. Selected “Best Comedy Club” by D Magazine and Dallas Observer, The Backdoor presents two shows on Saturday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. and two shows on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Popular comedian Paul Varghese, from Comedy Central, “Last Comic Standing” and Showtime, will headline all shows. Also performing will be EMMY winner Linda Stogner, Funniest Comic in Texas (FCIT) 2014, plus other Backdoor favorites. Tickets to all of the special Valentine’s shows are $35 per person and include a glass of champagne, a box of chocolates and a ticket to a future show.

Headliner Paul Varghese, one of the hottest comics in the country and a hometown favorite, has appeared on Comedy Central, NBC and Showtime.
He is the 2017 winner of the Trial By Laughter Competition and will release a new album next year. The former FCIT champ was also the winner of the 2012 Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, has opened for Dave Chappelle at House of Blues, and has appeared on Comedy Central’s “Gabriel Iglesias Presents Standup Revolution,” Showtime’s “Russell Peters Present’s and NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”
EMMY Award winner and 2014 champion of the Funniest Comic in Texas Competition, Linda Stogner, has a Dry Bar special coming out in the Spring of 2021. She headlines the “Four Funny Females Comedy Tour,” now in its 15th season.
She was a semi-finalist at the 2017 prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition and the 2015 Boston Comedy Festival. She was a performer on “Joan River’s Funniest Women Comedy Special” on CBS and was a finalist in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival.
Celebrating love does not have to be a laughing matter, but it’s fun when it is.
