Dallas Arts Month kicks into high gear

Dallas Arts Month is a city-wide celebration of Dallas arts, held annually in the month of April. Arts Month is designed to build awareness and appreciation for the work of Dallas artists and organizations and foster creative learning and activity throughout the city. Residents and visitors are encouraged to participate in events and programming offered by art and cultural institutions from all disciplines.

Arts Month 2018 is anchored by signature events including: TITAS Presents: L.A. Dance Project on March 30-31 in Moody Performance Hall; Festival of Joy at Klyde Warren Park; Dallas Poetry Project: Pop-Up Poetry; the Mayor’s Creative Conversation, Dallas Cultural Plan: Working Together For a Creative City; Dallas Jazz Appreciation Month; and the Changing Perspectives Block Party on April 14, 6 p.m. – midnight, featuring performances by Australia’s Strange Fruit at 8:30 and 10 p.m., Jessie Frye and local artists.
