The SPCA of Texas’ 16th annual Strut Your Mutt, the Race to End Animal Cruelty, presented by VCA Animal Hospitals and Hill’s Pet Nutrition is only two weeks away! The event will take place virtually Thursday, May 6 through Saturday, May 8. The event is virtual, and minimal contact swag bag pick-ups will take place at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center at 2400 Lone Star Drive in Dallas from noon to 2 p.m. The SPCA of Texas is inviting its supporters and friends to register, form teams and raise funds to end animal cruelty, as the SPCA of Texas needs the support of the community now more than ever during these challenging times. The goal of Strut Your Mutt is to raise awareness about animal cruelty in North Texas. The SPCA of Texas’ Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit responds to thousands of calls to rescue abandoned or neglected animals, many resulting in criminal convictions in multiple North Texas counties. This critical work continues, even amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. To get started right away, visit gostrut.org. — From SPCA Staff Reports
