Let Troop 43 do the cooking!

From Staff Reports

The second annual BBQ Fundraiser benefiting the Assist the Officer (ATO) Foundation and Boy Scouts of America Troop 43 camp programs is now underway. The Assist the Officer Foundation provides financial assistance to officers who are facing the loss of income due to a serious injury, life-threatening illness or other catastrophic event. Immediate assistance is also available to an officer’s family in the event of the death of an active officer. During Super Bowl weekend, Troop 43 will be firing up the ATO Foundation’s massive smoker to make gameday meals, so neighbors don’t have to. The menu includes: Pulled Pork or Sliced Smoked Chicken — $12 per pound; Sliced Prime Beef Brisket — $14 per pound; Sample Pack with 1 pound of each (3 lbs. total!) — $30. Order Online thru January 27 by visiting scout43.com and enter “scout43” in the top, right corner. When asked which scout sold you your BBQ, please acknowledge our friends at White Rock Lake Weekly by entering “WRLW.”

On Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2, pick up your order between 2 and 4 p.m. at the Lakewood Growler, 6448 E. Mockingbird Lane, on the SE corner of Mockingbird Lane. and Abrams Road. Troop 43 would like to thank the Assist the Officer Foundation, Lakewood Growler, White Rock Lake Weekly and, most importantly, the community for their support.
