As part of the “Nourishing Our Neighborhoods” program, Good Local Markets is doubling SNAP/EBT/P-EBT dollars, up to $20 additional market dollars, at both White Rock Farmers Market and Lakewood Village Farmers Market for fresh local produce.

When participants purchase $20 worth of SNAP dollars at market, they will receive $40 of market dollars to be used at Good Local locations. By doubling the value of SNAP dollars at market for fresh produce, it ensures that fresh local food is accessible and affordable to all. This program encourages SNAP recipients to bring home more healthy fruits and vegetables while supporting local farmers.

White Rock Farmers Market and Lakewood Village Farmers Market both feature all-local farmers, ranchers and vendors within a 150-mile radius of Dallas. Participants are inspected annually to ensure locale. Shoppers can expect to find seasonal produce, grass fed beef, farm fresh eggs, local milk and dairy, goat cheese, specialty mushrooms, fresh baked breads and pastries, tamales, artisan products and more.

Whole Foods Market is partnering with more than 20 organizations across the United States and Canada to support healthy food access for SNAP recipients in our communities. In 2021 Whole Foods Market is investing $420,000 in farmers markets like Good Local Markets in order to help improve access to fresh fruits and vegetables.

White Rock Farmers Market is held every Saturday through December 18 from 8 a.m.-noon at 9150 Garland Road.

Lakewood Village Farmers and Lakewood Village Farmers Market is held through August 15 and will resume in February 2022 at 6424 E. Mockingbird Lane.
