With the outbreak of COVID-19, North Texans have been looking for more ways to stay entertained at home. Reunion Tower, Dallas’ iconic landmark known for its dynamic light shows, romantic proposals and events at 470-feet high in the sky, has continued to entertain and inspire North Texans during the quarantine — even debuting new light shows with its Light of Dallas and Thin Lines series.
Reunion Tower hosts a variety of different events on its GeO-Deck at 470-feet in the air for people of all ages throughout the year. Like so many other organizations in Dallas and across the country, Reunion Tower has pivoted to virtual events during COVID-19. It recently hosted a Mother’s Day virtual art event with ColorHype, as well as a family-friendly virtual dance party in April with DJ K-Sprinkles.
On May 26, Reunion Tower is hosting a virtual skyline art opportunity. The iconic landmark is teaming up again with ColorHype to create a Dallas skyline masterpiece with alcohol inks — all from the comfort of participants’ own homes. Art kits can be picked up on May 26 from 5-8 p.m. in front of Hyatt Regency Dallas (300 Reunion Blvd, Dallas, TX 75207). Participants can choose from a Small or Large Kit, full of all the supplies needed to participate in the virtual event. Both kits also include a general admission ticket to visit the Reunion Tower GeO-Deck that is valid for one year. More details about the kits and supplies can be found on the event’s website.
In celebration of Reunion Tower’s 42nd birthday, the Tower is also running a promotion of 42 percent off GeO-Deck tickets until May 26. Tickets are valid for one year. Also in honor of its birthday, Reunion Tower is also offering a special T-shirt, available for $25 until May 27. When the Tower reopens to visitors, it says it will be prepared to safely welcome guests back. Reunion Tower is instituting new guidelines around social distancing, as well as protocols to keep guests and Ambassadors safe and healthy.
