1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for crisper cookies) or light brown sugar (for softer cookies)
1/4 cup plain M&Ms
Coarse sea salt or kosher salt
Heat oven to 350F.
In a bowl, stir together the peanut butter, sugar and egg until combined. Stir in M&Ms. Scoop out 1-inch balls of dough and place on baking sheet 2 inches apart. Use a fork to lightly press the balls flatter and make a crosshatch pattern on the cookies. Sprinkle cookies with a little salt.
Bake until set, about 12 minutes. Let cool on sheet for at least 5 minutes before transferring them to a rack to cool completely.
