Local rowing club White Rock Rowing — the only Dallas rowing crew to hold multiple national youth championship trophies (2014, 2021) — has bolstered its coaching staff with the addition of Caitlynn Crouch (pictured) as the new assistant coach of the men’s youth varsity. With more than 15 years’ experience in the sport, Crouch signed on with White Rock Rowing following a nine-year run with the Sarasota Crew men’s youth varsity in Florida. There, she played a crucial role in leading the men’s 8+ boat to the winner’s podium at the youth national championships for the longest streak in the club’s history — seven years in a row. During that time, she also worked as regatta director for the Sarasota Crew, coordinating with more than 30 teams and 500 athletes for races in the Florida west districts. In her collegiate career, Crouch was a coxswain for the San Diego University women’s varsity crew for four years. In 2017, Crouch joined the USRowing men’s junior national team managing logistical and financial operations. — Alejandra Ortiz
