The holiday season is here and what better way to begin this festive season than by reflecting on some of District 3’s accomplishments? Thank you to all the students, team members and community contributors whose collective efforts keep propelling our schools forward. Your support has been instrumental in our shared success!
Highlights in District 3
• Congratulations to The Bryan Adams Belles for their performance last month in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City!
• We celebrated the completion of bond work at Charles A. Gill Elementary School with students and parents last month! Thanks to our community for their support.
• U.S. News and World Report recently ranked Dallas ISD’s very own Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary School as the No. 5 school choice option in the area. More than 108 Dallas ISD schools were ranked in the Top 40 percent, with many being included in the top 10 percent. To read the full story, visit thehub.dallasisd.org.
Teachers of the Year
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each Campus Teacher of the Year within District Three and throughout Dallas ISD. Our teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our students, and I express gratitude for their unwavering dedication and compassion every day. Those chosen to represent their respective schools as Campus Teacher of the Year have earned the admiration and respect of their colleagues, and we commend them for their outstanding accomplishments. Holiday meals are available at no cost
Dallas ISD will be closed for the Winter Break from Dec. 25 until Jan. 8. To ensure all students have access to nutritious food during this time, the district will distribute pop-up meals at no cost for kids 18 and under, as well as students up to 21 years old with disabilities, at select schools. Each package will include three breakfast and lunch options.

Happy holidays!
I wish all our students, staff and community members a safe and restful holiday season. I will see everyone back in the new year, ready to continue educating District 3 students for success.
