It’s time to celebrate one of humanity’s greatest achievements! In honor of the 56th Anniversary of National Moon Day, the Frontiers of Flight Museum proudly presents its 17th Annual Moon Day event, happening Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On July 20, 1969, the world stood still as Apollo 11 made history and the first humans stepped onto the Moon. That “giant leap for mankind” continues to fuel dreams of space exploration. Get ready for a full day of interactive space exploration, hands-on science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) activities and awe-inspiring exhibits. This year’s event will feature a keynote presentation by retired NASA astronaut and U.S. Air Force Colonel Carl E. Walz (pictured), who has spent more than 231 days in space across four space shuttle missions. To purchase tickets, visit flightmuseum.com/events/moonday. The Frontiers of Flight Museum is located at 6911 Lemmon Ave. in Dallas. — Haley Davis
