City beautifying roadways

The City of Garland, Texas announces a Request for Qualifications for “Art at Every Turn” Traffic Box Art Wrap Program — Cycle 2. The program brings public art into everyday spaces by transforming traffic signal boxes into visually stunning artworks. These boxes, often overlooked, are an opportunity to reflect Garland’s culture, creativity and uniqueness. The vinyl wraps will beautify roadsides and help deter vandalism and graffiti. The city is seeking local artists to design a series of three (3) wraps for installation on traffic cabinets throughout Garland for Phase One of “Art at Every Turn.” Cycle 2 is projected to incorporate approximately 18 traffic boxes.
