Supporters from across the community came together to raise critical funds and shine a light on the urgent needs of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. At the heart of it all was Dallas CASA’s mission, ensuring every child in foster care has a consistent, caring volunteer advocate by their side when it matters most. The program featured remarks from speaker Cia Brorman, who shared her personal experience navigating the child welfare system and credited her CASA volunteer with changing the course of her life. Brorman emphasized that children in foster care need adults who consistently uplift and validate them, noting that having a CASA volunteer “saved my life.” The luncheon also honored Laura and Sarah Losinger (pictured) with the Caroline Rose Hunt Cherish the Children Award for their longstanding commitment to Dallas CASA, recognizing their leadership and dedication to creating safety, stability and hope for vulnerable children. Mother-daughter duo Barbara and Margaret Cervin chaired the luncheon. For more information, visit DallasCASA.org. — Rosanne Lewis
