‘Positive sensitivity’ reflected in paintings

“Essence of the Human Spirit” is the latest presentation from the Fairmont Street Gallery. Artist Jeff Hukill has “a touch and an eye whose terse, bright and contemplative work echoes some of the great modern artists of the past including Joachim Patinir (1480-1524), Caspar Friedrich (1818) and Salvador Dali (1904-1989),” Alan Barnes, from the gallery, said. “He addresses the invisible made visible through his work.” These are colorful, technical paintings with an underlying energy that reflects a positive sensitivity.
