In celebrating Women’s History Month, CLARA’S INFLUENCE: a Hallam Family Concert examines the artistry of Clara Schumann with a free, online concert on Saturday, March 27. A prodigious pianist and a gifted composer, Clara Schumann was a musical visionary. Through her music and her writings, alongside works by Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, and a new piece by Dallas composer Jonathan Cziner based on her letters, discover the voice of one of classical music’s most influential women.

A cornerstone of Fine Arts Chamber Player (FACP) programs, the Hallam series is always free and open to the public. Traditionally performed in the Horchow Auditorium (Dallas Museum of Art), the 2020-2021 season is instead online for FACP audiences. One other adaptation being made this season: audience members must register online for a viewing link to the performance. Due to performance rights to the music this season, those who wish to see the performances will have to register online for the private web links for the concerts. Registration for CLARA’S INFLUENCE is through Eventbrite. All registration details are shared on FACP’s website and social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Saturday, March 27, at 3 p.m. CST. The event is free, but registration is required. Registrants will also receive access to CODA: a post-performance conversation with the artists via Zoom.
