Serenity Events, the promotional events arm of Granada Theater and Sundown at Granada, is hosting the 3rd annual Bugs & Brews festival at Sundown at Granada on Sunday, April 22.
This year, get a real taste of New Orleans right here on Lower Greenville, with all sorts of authentic NOLA-style foods to munch on, as well as rockin’ tunes from all over DFW. Add some brews to wash down those bugs, and you’ve got a recipe for a perfect sunny spring afternoon. Need a place to take a break from the heat? This year we will have plenty of shade available inside the restaurant, as well as on our covered rooftop patio (with misters to help you cool off!)
Musical guests include The Free Loaders, performing their unique blend of jazz, blues and swing, followed by the Vandoliers, an alt-country band with punk rock roots. Next up is Silas Nello, who masterfully blends Americana with high-energy rock n’ roll. Headlining the night is Club Wood, whose love for New Orleans street music and jazz culture make for a non-stop party into the night.
Tickets start at $10 for general admission only, if you’re just in for the booze and tunes. Purchase a GA + Crawfish ticket for admission to the event and two lbs of crawfish for $18. You can also purchase extra crawfish only tickets if you know you’ll want more! This year, we’re also offering a Taste of New Orleans Card. Purchase one for $20 and select any 4 of Chef Jason’s specialty NOLA dishes. Choose from Crawfish Monica, Sausage & Chicken Jambalaya, Patton Hot Sausage Po’ Boy or Cajun Meat Pie. Items will be available for $6 each on the day of the event. Plenty of bugs for everyone, but if you know you’re coming hungry, then pre-purchase your crawfish as only a very limited amount will be available for purchase on the day of the event. Enjoy great drink specials from our friends at Modelo and Pacifico. In addition, our fully-stocked bar will be open, and other beers and drinks will be available.
Please join the community on Sunday, April 22, for the 3rd annual Bugs and Brews Fest. Tickets and FAQ are available at Bugsandbrews.com.
The Granada Theater has been entertaining Dallas audiences of all ages since 1946. Located in the historic Lower Greenville neighborhood, it was originally built as a post-WWII movie theater house. Now in the building’s 71st year at 3524 Greenville Avenue, the Granada Theater is doing what it has done effortlessly over the last twelve years — ushering in a new generation of music fans one concert at a time.
