Banners will fly when FIFA comes to Dallas

Nearly 200 streetlights in Deep Ellum carry the work of artists on banners that celebrate the Cultural District by reflecting the history, community and creative spirit of the area. New streetlight pole banners are featured two to three times per year. This next round is an exciting opportunity for local artists to submit portfolios for consideration in a streetlight pole banner series honoring the theme of International Culture Showcase. This banner program is designed as an open call to local creatives, with guidance supported through ambassadors and community partners to ensure thoughtful representation of FIFA World Cup 2026 participating countries. This call for artists encourages any artist (preference for local artist with familial ties to a participating FIFA World Cup 2026 country) to submit their portfolios for consideration, which will feature original artwork celebrating their country’s unique culture, history and/or creative community.
