Bread and Butter Coleslaw

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup finely diced bread and butter pickles 

(or sweet relish) 

1/4 cup bread and butter pickle brine 

(or dill pickle brine and 

1 tablespoon sugar)

1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

1 teaspoon celery seed

1 package (10 ounces) 

coleslaw mix

Salt and pepper to taste

In a medium bowl, whisk together all ingredients but coleslaw mix until combined. Fold in coleslaw mix and season to taste with salt and pepper. Let stand 30 minutes before serving.
