The series opener “Back to the Hideaway: A Celebration of Love & Friendship” features Dallas cabaret artist Denise Lee and renowned recording artist Gary Lynn Floyd. Floyd’s music has been a favorite in the Dallas community as he shares great chemistry with Lee and offers inspirational lyrics that leave audiences laughing, refreshed and happy.

“One of our goals at CC Young is for The Point to be a vital part of the arts experience in Dallas for our residents and community at-large,” said The Point & Pavilion Director Brian Parman. “We are thrilled to work with the cabaret star of Dallas, Denise Lee and her organization Visions for Change to bring notable artists to our community and offer a convenient way for our CC Young residents, neighbors and her fans to enjoy live entertainment.”

“After a three-year hiatus, we are excited to start our cabaret series for its seventh season,” said Visions for Change Founder Denise Lee. “Nothing touches the soul and brings people together like the power of music. It allows people to connect in ways they often do not imagine. The Point is a great venue for the show as we can invite members of the community both on and off campus to enjoy the journey of music, love, and connection.”

Additional shows in the series held at The Point Auditorium will feature more visiting artists, including The Rob Holbert Group, Angie McWhirter, Peter DiCesare and others. Starting in March, shows will be held on the second Tuesday of the month.

Serving as the hub of the CC Young community, The Point is the focal point of activity, fitness, learning, art, music and much more. Its architecture, as well as its mix of meeting and event spaces make it a truly special place and serve as a connection between CC Young and the surrounding communities, continuing the community’s commitment to serving not only residents and their families, but everyone.

The Point’s spectacular 20,000-sq.-ft. environment is open to residents and the public age 55 and forward. Visions for Change is a 501(c)3 not for profit with a mission to build bridges through conversations and events. For more information, visit ccyoung.org/cabaret.
