Families are invited to ring in the Year of the Horse with lion and dragon dances, special crafts and more on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. NorthPark Center, the Crow Museum of Asian Art of The University of Texas at Dallas, and Bookmarks, a Dallas Public Library, are proud to partner for the eighth year to present a vibrant Lunar New Year celebration for the community. Traditionally lasting 15 days, Lunar New Year is one of the most important and festive holidays across many cultures. In 2026, Lunar New Year begins on February 17, welcoming the Year of the Horse, the seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac.

A Lion Dancer Performance by Rising Phoenix is at 10 a.m. in the NorthCourt, located on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. Ear protection recommended for young children.
From 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. the Park Cities Chinese Class Book Giveaway will take place in the Bookmarks hallway, located on Level One between Vuori and ZARA. Afterward visitors can meet and greet mini ponies near the CenterPark before heading to arts and crafts activities taking place through the mall.
At 11:30 a.m., the Dallas Asian Winds will perform in the NorthCourt.
