The Mix Creative Space, located in the Little Forest Hills neighborhood of East Dallas, will host a Holiday Market on Saturday, Dec. 11 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The event will feature original art by local artists and creators, food made from scratch by local food artisans, cookie decorating for kids, photos with Santa (from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.), holiday sing-a-longs, hot chocolate and ukulele performances. Come celebrate the season and join in the holiday fun. During the market, The Mix will sponsor a canned food drive for the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) in support of their mission to close the ever-growing hunger gap in North Texas. NTFB donation boxes will be ready for your donations of low-sodium canned vegetables, dried or canned beans, whole-grain rice or pasta, canned tuna or chicken, canned fruit, peanut butter, canned soup/stew and cereal bars. The Mix is located in the lower level of White Rock United Methodist Church at 9125 Diceman Dr. in Dallas. Visit themixcreativespace.com for more information. — Andrea Lamarsaude
