Comedians prepare to pamper moms

Give the gift of laughter to Mom on her special day. Celebrate Mother’s Day at Backdoor Comedy Club. Selected “Best Comedy Club” by D Magazine and Dallas Observer, The Backdoor is Dallas’ longest running stand-up comedy club. To honor mothers everywhere, the club is presenting Backdoor Comedy’s “Moms Just Want To Have Fun — A Mother’s Day Celebration,” Sunday, May 11 at 6 p.m. Headlining the show will be Emmy award-winning comedian/filmmaker Linda Stogner (pictured), who just completed her Dry Bar Comedy Special and is a former winner of Funniest Comic in Texas. Other Backdoor Comedy favorites will join Stogner in entertaining the audience.

Stogner won the “Funniest Female Comic in the Heartland” competition in 2019. She appeared on “Joan River’s Funniest Woman in America” and was a semi-finalist in the Seattle International Comedy Competition, the Boston Comedy Festival and a finalist in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. She has also appeared on the national PBS/ABC series “Life 360,” in her award-winning short film, “Adopted” and is the creator of “Turtle TV.”  

Tickets to the Mother’s Day show are $25 per person and can be purchased online at backdoorcomedy.com/shows. All moms will receive a box of chocolates, a glass of champagne and a ticket to a future show. Backdoor is located at 940 E. Beltline Rd. in Richardson, next to The Line Public House.
