Committee dedicated to communities in need

More than 100 Apartment Association of Greater Dallas (AAGD) volunteers teamed up with Dallas Park and Recreation crews to clean and beautify the shores and parks at White Rock Lake on October 9. White Rock Lake is a 1,015-acre city lake located approximately five miles northeast of downtown Dallas, welcoming more than a million visitors each year for various recreational purposes, including running, boating and birdwatching. The volunteer clean-up efforts included weeding garden beds, picking up litter, pressure washing, removing invasive species and painting handrails. The AAGD Community Service Committee is committed to helping North Texas communities in need. With the generous backing of AAGD members, the committee has contributed major interior and exterior renovations to women’s shelters, homeless shelters, food pantries and organizations serving children.
