Cooper Clinic announced this week the addition of Dr. Christopher Berry (pictured) to its preventive medical practice. Prior to joining Cooper Clinic, Dr. Berry served as Senior Medical Director and Family Medicine Specialist at Oak Street Health, DFW Region, and continues to be the Medical Director for West Coast University Physician Assistant Master Program.

Berry is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He also practiced as Medical Director at Genesis Physicians Group, Mission East Dallas and Healing Hands Ministries and Baylor Scott & White Health Community Care/HealthTexas.

A graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Prior to medical school, Berry served as a U.S. Army Officer, Field Artillery, in Germany, Bosnia and Oklahoma. He earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School. He completed a family medicine residency at In His Image Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa, Oklahoma, selected as Chief Resident and a member of the Physician Faculty. He has served on the board of the Dallas County Medical Society. In 2024, Dr. Berry was honored by D Magazine as an Outstanding Healthcare Practitioner, recognizing his commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care. Dr. Berry and his wife have two children. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, strength training, reading and escaping to the Rocky Mountains to hike and ski.
