Strong leaders, bright futures: Celebrating Dallas ISD
As we move into November, I find myself reflecting on the many reasons to be thankful for our District 3 community. From the dedicated educators who inspire curiosity every day to the families who partner with us in our shared mission, there is much to celebrate.

This season, I want to especially thank our principals, teachers, counselors and support staff who go above and beyond to ensure every student feels seen, supported and challenged. Their passion creates the kind of learning environments where students can discover their strengths and pursue their dreams.
I am equally grateful for our volunteers, community partners and local organizations whose generosity and commitment strengthen our schools in countless ways. Their time, resources and encouragement help expand possibilities for our students. To our voters and taxpayers: Thank you for your continued investment in public education and for believing in the potential of every child in Dallas ISD. Your support makes every achievement possible.
I’m also thankful for the incredible opportunities our students have to explore their interests through application-based schools and programs. These schools give students the opportunity to follow their passions, whether in science, technology or public service, while gaining hands-on experience that prepares them for the future.
At Bryan Adams High School Leadership Academy, students can apply to programs like P-TECH, which offer college credit and workforce certifications in fields such as education, criminal justice and business. Emmett J. Conrad High School continues to expand opportunities through its Global H-TECH program, which connects students to careers in health, game design and network administration.
These are just a few examples of the incredible opportunities awaiting students in District 3. Dallas ISD offers a pathway to match every interest and ambition whether in a legacy school or a specialized program. The variety of programs across our schools ensures that every student can find a place to thrive.
As we move toward the close of the first semester of the 2025-2026 school year, I’m reminded that the strength of our district lies in the people who believe in our students, and that includes your families who encourage and support our schools. I am thankful that together, we are shaping a brighter future for every child in District 3.
