Prism Glass Company and Spiralglass, led by renowned glass artist Rees Bowen, will unveil the Studio’s collection of contemporary glass artistry, “Solarities,” on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Rees Bowen Studios in Dallas.
This striking collection explores the relationship between glass, light, color and emotion. Each piece is designed to transform as viewers move around it, shifting in tone, intensity and perspective as light interacts with the glass from different angles.

Founded by Rees Bowen, Prism Glass Company and Spiralglass are recognized for the innovative approach to glass artistry, including the use of layered pigments, distinctive textures and unconventional shaping techniques. “Solarities” is a fire inspired glass exhibition and open studio with live demonstrations. This exhibition will showcase new works in blown, fused and pressed glass by Bowen, along with collaborative and individual art work by artists Emma Valenzuela and Harrison DeMoss.
“Light is ever dynamic — it bends, scatters and changes within each environment it inhabits,” Bowen said. “My work intertwines my thoughts with the ever-evolving world of glass art, capturing a distinct moment in time through permanent form.”
Guests attending the open studio will experience live glassblowing demonstrations by Valenzuela, DeMoss and Bowen along with custom installations combining ambient light and synchronized music to create an immersive environment centered around the interaction of glass and light.
Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists, learn more about the creative processes behind the artwork, and hear about recent installations and projects.
A selection of limited-edition of fire inspired artwork will be available for purchase.
The studio is located at 3530 Dilido Rd. in Dallas. For more information, visit prismglasscompany.com or call 214-564-3896.
