The 11th Annual “No Place Like Home” event returns April 16, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 2616 Commerce Event Center. This Austin Street Center signature event is chaired by Waldo Gonzalez and William Taylor, and hosted by the Austin Street Advisory Board, with a goal of raising $300,000 to fund life-changing shelter and services. Held outdoors overlooking the downtown Dallas skyline, the evening will feature live entertainment from a chart-topping Texas country artist, delicious sips and bites from Salum Restaurant, and a silent auction offering luxurious vacations and one-of-a-kind experiences. Guests are encouraged to dress in spring cocktail attire with a Texas twist. All proceeds will directly support Austin Street Center’s mission to provide safe shelter and basic needs for the most vulnerable experiencing homelessness.

“As we surpass a decade of No Place Like Home, it’s incredible to see how this event has grown into a true Dallas staple,” said Daniel Roby, chief executive officer of Austin Street Center. “What began as a simple idea, to gather our community for one meaningful night in support of our neighbors experiencing homelessness, has become one of the most impactful evenings of the year for our mission. Year after year, our supporters show up with generosity and heart. Every dollar raised helps us provide safe shelter, meet basic needs and deliver the critical services that move individuals from homelessness toward stability and hope.”
The growing need for services that address chronic homelessness in Dallas makes Austin Street Center’s work more critical than ever. The annual event serves as a catalyst for change, fostering community engagement while securing vital resources to continue providing life changing support to those in need.
“We are truly honored to serve as Event Chairs for this year’s No Place Like Home and to support an event that has become such an important part of Dallas,” said Waldo Gonzalez.
“Austin Street Center provides more than shelter. It offers dignity, stability, and a path forward. We are proud to help champion a night that directly fuels that life changing work.”
William Taylor added: “This evening is about more than a celebration. It is about coming together as a community to take action. We invite friends, neighbors, and supporters across Dallas to join us for a meaningful night that will make a tangible difference for our most vulnerable neighbors.”
Sponsorships for the event are available, ranging from $1,500 to $25,000. Individual tickets begin at $75. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Madalene Ramirez at madalene.ramirez@austinstreet.org or call 972-807-0021.
