Celebrate the joy of the season at Klyde Warren Park’s highly anticipated Tree Lighting Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 4-7 p.m. This free, family-friendly event invites North Texans to come together for an afternoon filled with holiday cheer. Presented by Energy Transfer, the event features live music, holiday-inspired treats from food trucks and activities for all ages, culminating in the lighting of the 52-foot-tall Mayor’s Tree at 6 p.m. Adorned with more than 37,500 sparkling LED lights and 3,836 ornaments, the tree will illuminate Klyde Warren Park with its magical glow through January 7, 2025. Highlights include photos with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, appearances by Frosty and Rudolph, face painting, crafts, games, a Nutcracker performance and live music by the Emerald City Band. In the spirit of giving, Klyde Warren Park will collect cans for North Texas Food Bank during the Tree Lighting Celebration. As the town square of Dallas, Klyde Warren Park fosters community connections through cherished traditions like the Tree Lighting Celebration and the fifth annual Menorah Lighting on Sunday, Dec. 26, honoring the Festival of Lights. These events bring joy, gratitude and unity to the holiday season. Klyde Warren Park is located at 2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway in Dallas. — Angela Lang
