Fine art auction set for Oct. 26

David Dike Fine Art hosts the 28th Annual Texas Art Auction on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the gallery in Alpha Plaza. The sale will be a live auction and showcases more than 400 lots of Texas Art ranging from early and traditional to contemporary works. Highlights include works by Julian Onderdonk, Everett Spruce and David Everett, a significant work by George Grammer, and an important 1941 painting by Jerry Bywaters.

There are four special, featured collections this year. Highlights from the Collection of Gregory Dow, the Art Collection of Catherine Howell and more than 35 works will be offered from the Heartland Security Insurance Group Collection curated by Jeannie Hibbs. A select group of works will be sold to benefit CASETA — The Center for the Advancement and Study of Early Texas Art.
