Firefighters take on community for event

The Fraternal Order of Eagles #3108 will host the annual Eagles & Axes Softball Tournament on November 15 at noon at Cotillion Park. This friendly, family-oriented competition brings together local teams, firefighters and community members for a day of fun on the field. Proceeds benefit the Lt. Todd W. Krodle Foundation, which honors Lt. Krodle’s legacy by supporting Dallas firefighters and their families. Founded in 2014 by his loved ones and crew, the foundation awards scholarships to children of Dallas firefighters and provides aid to families affected by line-of-duty injuries or loss. The public is welcome to come out and spectate, enjoy food, the silent auction and a 50/50 raffle to show their support for a great cause.
