FRI explores creating senior activity center

The Dallas Park & Recreation department and Dallas City Council Member Paula Blackmon arranged a tour recently for members of Ferguson Road Initiative’s (FRI) Economic Development Committee of the Red Bird Square WellMed Senior Activity and Singing Hills Recreation Centers. Both are shining examples of community and public/private partnerships. The intent of the tour was to explore how FRI can establish a Senior Activity Center now in Far East Dallas and the next steps in getting the White Rock Hills Recreation Center funded in the next bond program.
