GAPCo. takes Reuben to new levels

By Ariana Hajibashi

The Reuben is a classic sandwich, combining corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Some people see a good thing and leave it alone. But not the pizza wizards at Greenville Avenue Pizza Company. They see a delicious sandwich and think: “Hey, this would make an even better pizza.”

The pizza is topped with sauerkraut and fresh dill to really set it off with some tart crunch and a sprinkle of color.

The just-launched Reuben Pizza starts with a base of GAPCo’s housemade Russian dressing and mozzarella. That is joined by corned beef, which was supplied by friend and neighbor Goodfriend Package Store. It’s all topped with Swiss cheese and then baked to perfection. Then, hot from the oven, the pizza is topped with sauerkraut and fresh dill to really set it off with some tart crunch and a sprinkle of color. The Reuben Pizza comes in all sizes and is also available as a calzone, just in case you want to take the sandwich concept a bit more literally. The Reuben Pizza is available right now at both GAPCo locations: the original Lowest Greenville Ave. store and the East Dallas store on Peavy Rd. It will remain on the menu through April 5, so be sure to get yours before the opportunity passes. For locations and menus, visit gapc.co.
