Hawn to speak at Chick Lit luncheon

Community Partners of Dallas announces Academy Award-winning actress, The New York Times bestselling author, producer, director and true children’s advocate, Goldie Hawn, as the featured speaker for the 15th Annual Chick Lit Luncheon presented by Dr. Robert and Lara Tafel on Friday, Sept. 24 at the Hilton Anatole. Hawn authored two best-selling books: a memoir “A Lotus Grows in the Mud,” in 2005 and in 2011, “10 Mindful Minutes,” offering guidance on raising healthy, joyful and resilient children. Hawn has lived with her partner Kurt Russell for more than 30 years and has four grown children. They have also been blessed with seven grandchildren. Hawn believes “children light the path to joy” and dedicated much of her life’s work to creating innovative solutions to help children thrive. The Chick Lit luncheon will be held on Sept. 24 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hilton Anatole. The event will include a wine reception followed by a seated luncheon and remarks by Hawn.
