As chief philanthropy officer at Nexus Recovery Center, Hernholm will be a key member of Nexus’ C-Suite leadership team, responsible for all aspects of the organization’s fundraising, marketing and public relations efforts. She will lead efforts with the private sector to establish financial sustainability by managing the visioning, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive fundraising and communications strategies to raise monetary and in-kind support. Hernholm will serve as the primary liaison to the Board’s Development and Marketing Committees alongside Nexus Recovery Center CEO, Heather Ormand.
“Nexus Recovery Center is privileged to welcome an executive as experienced and passionate as Cameron to our team,” said Heather Ormand, Nexus Recovery Center Chief Executive Officer. “We are confident that through Cameron’s leadership, Nexus Recovery Center will continue to grow our services even beyond what they are today, and offer outstanding, comprehensive assistance to the women and families we serve on their sobriety journey.”
“I am honored to join the Nexus Recovery Center team,” said Hernholm. “Nexus Recovery Center is doing life-changing work for North Texas women on a daily basis, and the organization is changing the trajectory of our city by ending the vicious cycles of addiction. Nexus Recovery Center is such a unique organization in our city in how they treat the whole client – from addressing childcare needs to mental health concerns and more, the organization truly seeks to help each and every woman – and their children – seeking assistance, regardless of their ability to pay. I look forward to using my skills to advocate for these women and the resources they need to succeed.”
