Heroes get heat relief from Cuban Center

With North Texas temperatures soaring again and the heat index climbing well above 100 degrees, outdoor workers are once again facing dangerous conditions. To offer some much-needed relief and recognition, the Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center is offering off its “Hydration Kits for Unsung Heroes” effort. The Mark Cuban Heroes Center will distribute free hydration kits to essential outdoor workers and first responders Mondays through Thursdays from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Kits include cooling towels, neck fans, bottled water and insulated coolers. The  kits are available to USPS carriers, delivery drivers, lawn care crews, construction workers, first responders and public employees who work outdoors. Registration is required, and recipients must present a work ID badge upon receipt. The Mark Cuban Heroes Basketball Center staff have compiled more than 500 kits thus far.
