The Junior League of Dallas (JLD) hosted its 100th birthday celebration at JLD Headquarters on May 4, the organization’s original charter date. The family-friendly celebration featured a food truck, a photo booth, a DJ and of course, a birthday cake! Wipstitch Needleworks was also in attendance with a booth full of stitch canvases, kits and more. Following the party, JLD held its last General Membership Meeting of the year, which featured a conversation with 2022 Sustainer of the Year Veletta Forsythe Lill. Lill spoke about her history with the League and how it inspired her to become involved, and stay involved, to make a difference within her community. To conclude the celebration, 2021-2022 JLD President Christa Sanford passed the gavel to President-elect Emily Somerville-Cabrera. — Juliana Mitchell
