Laughter the way to their hearts

Give the gift of laughter to your special someone this year! Celebrate Valentine’s Day at Backdoor Comedy Club located inside the Doubletree Hotel at 8250 N. Central Expressway in Dallas. And if you don’t have a date that evening, don’t cry about it; laugh it off at Dallas’ longest running stand-up comedy club. Selected “Best Comedy Club” by D Magazine and Dallas Observer, The Backdoor presents one show on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 8 p.m. and two shows on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. 

Aaron Aryanpur (pictured), from Fox TV’s “Laughs” and winner of the 2012 Funniest Comic in Texas Competition, will headline all shows. Other performers include EMMY winner Linda Stogner and more Backdoor Comedy favorites. Tickets to the Valentine’s Day Saturday, Feb. 9 show are $30 per person, and tickets to the Valentine’s Day Thursday, Feb. 14 shows are $35 per person. All shows include a glass of champagne, a box of chocolates and a ticket to a future show

Comedy Central has called Aaron Aryanpur “likable, well-written and fresh.” He had his first CD, “In Spite of …” debut at the top of the iTunes chart. 

The 2014 Funniest Comic in Texas champion and EMMY award winner Linda Stogner headlines the “Four Funny Females Comedy Tour,” now in its 13th season. She was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival and The Seattle International Comedy Competition. 

Stogner appeared on “Joan River’s Funniest Women Comedy Special” and was a finalist in the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. She has also appeared on the national EMMY winning PBS series, “Life 360” and in her award winning short film, “Adopted.”
