League’s hard work awarded for impact

The Junior League of Dallas (JLD) was recently honored with three prestigious awards from the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), including the 2026 Excellence Award, the organization’s highest honor, the Circle of Distinction and the Community Impact Award. On Monday, Sept. 14, Melanie Schild, CEO of the Association of Junior Leagues International, and Diane Flanagan, AJLI Board President, presented the Excellence Award to the Junior League of Dallas chapter, formally recognizing the League’s accomplishments on an international stage. The Excellence Award recognizes one League annually for outstanding achievement across leadership development, community impact, a culture of inclusion and belonging, membership growth and engagement, and philanthropy. The Junior League of Dallas was selected from the Circle of Distinction, a group representing the strongest chapters across the Association. JLD was also recognized with the 2026 Division Four Community Impact Award for its extraordinary service and investment in the Dallas community. With 26 community program partners and 12 Signature Projects spanning Education and the Arts, Health and Wellness, and Strengthening Families, the League’s impact reached more than 650,000 individuals this year alone.
