David Dike Fine Art hosts the 29th Annual Texas Art Auction on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the gallery in Alpha Plaza, 4877 Alpha Rd., Ste. 210, Farmers Branch. The live auction sale will showcase more than 480 lots of Texas Art ranging from early and traditional to contemporary works. Several artworks by the Dallas Nine and their circle and the Fort Worth Circle group of artists also are featured. The Fort Worth Circle embraced modernism and abstraction in contrast to realism, which was prioritized by the Dallas Nine. “We are especially pleased to offer important paintings by Olin Travis, Florence McClung, George Grammer and Ben Culwell,” gallery owner David Dike said. The sale will be conducted live by auctioneer Jason Brooks (TXS 16216). In addition to the in-person bidding, there will be live online bidding, phone and absentee bidding. Auction guests will have Bubbles and Bites, catered by Rodeo Goat. On Saturday, the doors of the Gallery open at 9 a.m. and bidding begins promptly at 10 a.m. For more information, visit daviddike.com. — Martha Tiller
