Mentor offers free coding

Vanshika Prasad is a junior at the School for the Talented and Gifted at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center in Dallas. For the last six years, she has been engaged in various voluntary activities and programs, from fundraising for animal shelters, collecting food for Dallas Food banks to offering free online art and computer classes.

Prasad is passionate about making the future better than the past, in actions that can help inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, in cultivating empathy and delivering hope to children around the world who are less privileged. 

Besides several academic achievements, Prasad won the President’s Award for Academic Excellence. She also is the founder of a non-profit organization “Mighty Little Us,” which is dedicated to bringing about meaningful change, improving lives and creating a better world by supporting and empowering children, providing them with opportunities, resources and guidance to develop their skills, talents and character.

Currently, Prasad is offering free coding classes at the Dallas Public Library.
