Minister to keynote Genesis bruncheon

Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support announced Pastor Sonjia B. Dickerson (pictured), executive pastor of Dayspring Family Church, as the keynote speaker for the ninth Annual First Ladies’ Bruncheon. The Bruncheon will take place Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Arts District Mansion. This year’s event will spotlight the prevalence of domestic violence in Southern Dallas, where reports of abuse are higher than in any other area, while raising support for the life-saving services available through Genesis at South Dallas. The Bruncheon will also honor community leaders who exemplify courage, compassion and a shared commitment to creating a world without domestic violence. Pastor Sonjia B. Dickerson serves as executive pastor of Dayspring Family Church in Irving, Texas, alongside her husband, Bishop Kevin Keith Dickerson. A nationally and internationally recognized minister for more than 30 years, she is known for her leadership, preaching and commitment to empowering women through faith.
