Last chance! Only a limited number of tickets remain for the 26th Annual Destiny Award Luncheon, where trailblazing ballet superstar Misty Copeland (pictured above) — the first Black woman promoted to principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre and one of the most influential artists in dance — will headline the popular fundraiser benefiting St. Philip’s School & Community Center. The event is set for Friday, Feb. 27 at the Omni Dallas Hotel. The morning kicks off with a student showcase from 10:30-11:15 a.m., celebrating the talents and achievements of St. Philip’s scholars, followed by the luncheon program beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Omni Hotel Ballroom. Funds raised through the Destiny Award Luncheon support the operations of St. Philip’s School & Community Center, including tuition assistance, retention of exceptional educators and expanded academic programming.
