Neighbors provide simple solution to dangerous problem

The White Rock Forest neighborhood began a tradition last summer of placing fresh water bowls in a shady sidewalk area for dogs. The bowls are refreshed every morning, and dogs and their humans can usually find a bowl every few blocks. This year a kind and generous neighbor — Bernadette Fisher, former owner of Angelo’s in Lakewood — decided to also place iced down water bottles for delivery service people or neighbors who walk their pets or exercise. When new neighbors come upon the water bowls, it always brings a smile! — Gabriela Pataro
