COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation (WWHSCF) recently announced that 29 graduating high school seniors have been awarded 30 Foundation scholarships commencing in the fall of 2023. On May 9, WWHSCF hosted an event at Lakewood Country Club to honor this year’s recipients and recognize the generosity of the foundation’s donors. Scholarship winners also received a professional-quality headshot courtesy of photographer Matt Robbins of Impact Productions LLC, who donated his services for the evening. Since 2011, the Foundation has provided financial assistance to more than 260 students, totaling approximately $450,000 in financial aid. WWHSCF was established to support excellent education in public schools and recognize and honor academic excellence among students within the WWHS feeder pattern. Scholarships range in value from $1,000 to $10,000 and were established to assist families in financing college costs.
