Reunion dims for birds

Every fall and spring, nearly two billion birds travel through Texas. The bird migration, one of the largest on the planet, occurs at night. Light attracts migrating birds, making them vulnerable to collisions with buildings and causing them to become disoriented and distracted. Reunion Tower will do its part again by lowering its lights to protect the birds and allow them safe passage. In addition to the special dimmed light shows, Reunion Tower will also unveil a new fall-themed light show that will be played on Wednesdays. The show features fall imagery, such as pumpkin patches, falling leaves and football. — Kimber Westphall
