Safer flight path created

This spring, Reunion Tower is once again helping protect migrating birds traveling through North Texas by reducing light pollution during peak migration weeks. From April 25 through May 15, the Tower will partner with the Texas Conservation Alliance to dim its lights overnight to support safer migration across the region. Texas sits along one of the largest migratory bird pathways in the world, with nearly two billion birds passing through the state each spring and fall. Because many species migrate overnight, bright city lights can cause disorientation and increase the likelihood of collisions. By dimming its lights during peak migration, Reunion Tower is helping create a safer flight path across the Dallas skyline. — Britt Carman
