This past weekend the Texas Daffodil Society and Designers with Flair Study Club hosted the annual American Daffodil Society Flower Show in Rosine Hall at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The horticulture section had 19 different divisions ranging from standard, historic and miniature daffodils. In addition to highlighting daffodil growers, the show also featured a photography contest and a design contest. Spencer Coffey’s “Selfie” (pictured above) was the Wells Knierim Ribbon winner for best photograph in the show. Annie Hibbs was the overall winner in design with her display of “Texas Our Texas.” The show also had educational displays from the School of Ikebana that highlighted their “Celebrating Texas Through Sogetsu.” For more information, visit either website: texasdaffodilsociety.org or texasgardenclubs.org. — From Staff Reports
